Clubs Marketing Coordinator

  Develop marketing campaigns for NAITSA Campus Clubs, provide marketing assistance through social media and graphic design, and mentor individual clubs
  Schedule and facilitate meetings with club leaders
  Assist team members with the NAITSA Campus Club Leadership Training Conferences/workshops
  Host hallway promotions for Campus Clubs services and work to build the Campus Activities Board brand on campus
  Assist in supporting weekly networking nights at the Nest (Club @ The Pub)

Clubs Coordinator
   Mentor club leaders and act as peer support to assist with event planning & logistics, grant writing, team building, and more
   Attend club events, lending assistance to club leaders as needed
   Encourage clubs to host weekly networking nights at the Nest (Club @ The Pub) and act as the lead for coordinating these events,
   Organize workshops, socials and networking evenings
   Assist team members with the NAITSA Campus Club Leadership    Training Conferences/workshops
   Host hallway promotions for Campus Clubs services and work to build the Campus Activities Board brand on campus

Promotions Coordinators
   Coordinate, plan and execute virtual and in-person promotions for various NAITSA events and initiatives
   Brainstorm out-of-the-box ideas for how to engage and communicate with students
   Be the team lead during event promotions, including coordinating and facilitating volunteers
   Act as a brand ambassador for NAITSA events and the Campus Activities Board
Digital Media Coordinator
 Capture photos and videos during events for NAITSA & Ooks Life social media
 Create an archive of videos and pictures for future use
 Create graphics, videos, and designs for social media and web content, to promote events and initiatives
 Maintain the sandwich boards around campus that promote upcoming events (freehand drawing)

Volunteer Coordinators
 Foster a culture on campus where students understand the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community
 Build relationships with non-profit partner organizations and on-campus stakeholders
 Coordinate events that allow students to volunteer together and add value to the community
 Communicate the importance of volunteering and current opportunities available to students
 Recruit and coordinate volunteers for a variety of initiatives and projects
 Administer the NAITSA Volunteer’s Program, including tracking student hours, maintaining records, and recognizing outstanding volunteers
Events Coordinators
 Act as the team lead for specific events, responsible for planning, setting up, tearing down, and post-event analysis
 Work closely with Promotions Coordinators to ensure understanding of event goals to help develop promotion plans
 Gather participant data & feedback at events to make recommendations for the future
 Engage with students at events to help foster friendships and fun
 Act as a brand ambassador for NAITSA events and the Campus Activities Board

Summer positions

From May 10 to August 31, one Event Coordinator and the Digital Media Coordinator work full-time positions to complete projects in preparation for the upcoming Fall semester.

  The Event Coordinator will help plan events for the coming academic year. These events include the How-To series, themed weeks, wellness events, and new initiatives

  The Digital Media Coordinator will create content for the upcoming semester, work with the events coordinator on graphic design assets, and complete additional projects that will help to make campus life a success

  In September, these positions will shift back to part-time hours and continue working in the capacity they initially hired for until the end of their term

March 2022
  This is a transition month where you’ll learn about what we do at NAITSA. You’ll have the opportunity to shadow the outgoing team.
  Meetings: March 8, 2022, 5:00pm (Orientation Meeting); March 15, 2022, 4:15pm (CAB Meeting)

April 2022
   This month will feature more training and shadowing with the outgoing team. You’ll learn about what worked and what changes need to happen for the next school year.
   Meeting: April 12, 2022, 4:15pm
May 2022
  The annual ‘Think Tank’ is your chance to put your personal experiences, perspectives, and training to work! This three-day event will help NAITSA shape the campus experience for the next school year.
  Think Tank: May 9-11, 2022 – likely out of town pending COVID-19 restrictions
June 2022
  Start building your project plans while working off-campus and communicating with your NAITSA supervisor and fellow team members through email and phone or video calls.
July 2022
  You’ll continue to develop project plans for the upcoming academic year.
  Meeting: July 12, 2022, 5pm
August 2022

  While working remotely, you will continue to finalize details for assigned project plans and submit them for final approval to supervisors.

  Student Leader Summit (Late-August, Date TBC): Professional development day for all NAIT & NAITSA student leaders

September 2022

  Most likely, school will be in-person for most students once classes are back in session. We warn our students that September is one of the hardest months of the year. Routines are uprooted and classes are in full swing. Student staff are busy learning to implement events/projects including orientation. When on campus, students can utilize the Campus Activities Board room at the NAITSA office to work on their projects, ensuring they follow any health measures in place.
  Mandatory shift pick up will be required during the first two weeks of classes in September. These will likely include Pancake Breakfast (Sept 1-2, 2022) and Nest Fest (Sept 15-16, 2022), but could include other events as circumstances change.

October 2022

  The team has settled into the new routine and getting the hang of things. Shifts include events, promotions, and project work.
  Required shift: Oct. 29, 2022 – Kids Party

  Required Training: Oct. 1, 2022: Club Leadership Training (All CAB are required to attend full day workshop, transportation will be provided)

November 2022

  The holiday break is over, and it’s time to welcome a new group of students to NAIT. Work expectations are similar to September, with a heavy focus on welcome activities.

  It’s time to wrap up the year and close out any projects. There are fewer work hours available to focus on final exams and class projects. A key responsibility is helping to transition the incoming team. The end of the term is April 30, 2023.
